Specters of Prediction

Deep within an abandoned underground vault lies a device older than recorded history—an ancient machine designed to glimpse into the future. Scientists once activated it, hoping to uncover secrets of time, but instead, they awakened something that should have remained hidden in the shadows. Now, monstrous entities lurk unseen, only visible through a special camera that captures distortions in reality. As the last remaining investigator, the player must mark the locations where these creatures manifest using ancient totems found scattered throughout the vault. According to the faded research notes, these totems are the only means of understanding the entities’ patterns—but every mark placed also brings the player closer to their foretold fate.

The more predictions made, the more tangible the horrors become. Will the player trust the machine’s ominous prophecies, or defy fate and attempt to escape the ever-tightening grip of the shadows? One thing is certain: the more they gaze into the future, the greater the risk of becoming part of it.
